AMVETS Post #17 Announces Newly Elected 2026–2027 All Veteran Board of Directors Easton, PA
AMVETS Post #17 proudly announces the swearing in of its newly elected 2026–2027 Board of Directors, an ALL veteran leadership team representing multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces. The ceremony will take place this evening during the Post’s regularly scheduled Board of Directors Meeting.
Following the formal installation of officers, the Board will address several key agenda items, including:
• Active Membership Expansion: The addition of nearly 20 new Veterans to the Post’s active membership rolls
• Social Membership: Review of current and new applicants for social membership
• By Law Review: Discussion of proposed amendments to strengthen governance and operations
• Club Business: Updates on ongoing initiatives and administrative matters
• Canteen Customer Behavior: Decorum by some social members actively being discussed daily, changes to happen swiftly • Event Planning: Coordination of upcoming programs and community engagements
• Quarterly All Membership Meeting: Scheduling of a combined Board and membership session to enhance transparency and participation

D-Day Tribute — AMVETS Post #17
Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unbreakable spirit of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches on D-Day.
This photograph captures a moment of solemn remembrance for those who gave everything so future generations might live in freedom. We pause to reflect, to give thanks, and to recommit to preserving the memory of their bravery. Officers of AMVETS Post #17, Easton, PA

05JUN2026 - AMVETS Post #17 Wall of Honor
As we are cleaning the post, and returning to a more Veteran centric environment, we are asking any members who served in the military who have the ability, to donate a patch from any or all of the units they served with to be displayed in our Post Canteen, on a Wall of Honor. We already have a few surprises for this area, which will be revealed in the future. Patches can be dropped off at the Post Canteen or Contact a member of the Board of Directors.

We encourage ALL members (Veterans & Social) to participate in Post Activities. We will be posting a calendar of events outside of pool, shuffleboard, and quoits, to include things like Karaoke as well as Post Clean-up events, Community Outreach, Fundraising, and more. Let’s make this the number one post in PA…then in the USA!!!

On this Memorial Day we stand together in quiet gratitude and solemn remembrance. At AmVets Post #17 Easton, PA we honor every service member who gave everything so others might live in freedom. Their courage, their sacrifice, and their names live on in our hearts.
The folded American Flag: Red is for the blood shed. Blue for the wounded. White for the crosses on our soldiers’ graves. Through the rain, through the sun, our colors will never run. Join us in a moment of reflection.
Light a candle, lay a wreath, and tell the story of someone you remember today.

24MAY2026 Memorial Day Parade
Amvets Post #17 We are returning to our roots as a Veterans centric club, dedicated to our military and veterans. That said, we are joining to the Easton Memorial Day parade. Meeting at Amvets at 0915hrs to plan and form-up. Club to open after.

15MAY2026 -Cemetary Flag Detail
Two big events happening tonight Friday May 15th, 2026. At 6pm we will be placing flags, read below and looking for assistance.
At 8pm, our monthly Karaoke at the Amvets.
Volunteers Needed to Honor Our Veterans
We are looking for volunteers to help place American flags on the graves of our veterans. This is a meaningful way to show our respect and gratitude for those who served and sacrificed for our country. No experience is needed, just the willingness to lend a hand and help us honor these heroes. Families are welcome, and this is a great opportunity for community service.
If you’re able to participate, please meet up at Forks Cemetery outside of Stockertown off of Sullivan Trail. Thank you for helping us remember and honor those who served
